"Taylor" made backcountry touring with Vagabond Adventures so much fun. These tours cater to everyone in the small group, providing a fun adventure which is enhanced by the guides quirky, cheerful leadership that you can't help but get caught up in. The snow wasn't at it's best when I was there but I still had a fantastic experience.

Had a funtastic (sic) backcountry day out with Taylor and the crew from Vagabond Adventures. Knowledgeable, calm, measured, assured = exactly what one wants in big mountain, backcountry terrain. The skinning was set at a cruisy pace for our slowest group member. And whilst the snow wasn’t awesome when we went out, it didn’t matter. We knew what we were in for, and we laughed our way through it and appreciated the grandeur and quiet of the place. No one else was where we were. The mountains are vast in this region, and some of the backcountry descents could be amongst the all-time best skiing moments of your life in stable powder. In a foreign country, no matter how friendly the locals are, it is always nice to have a guide like Taylor, a native English speaker, that is fluent in the local language. His and his team’s experience in Georgia counts for a lot. It smooths out the ever-present creases that one comes across in Georgia. We learnt in Gudauri to never bother asking why? Why, well because there is no point. Sometimes there is just no reasonable answer. And so it was a pleasure to catch Taylor out asking why ……… and getting him to drop and give me ten (push-ups that is!). Classic. When the ski resort has done all it can for you, get out with Vagabond Adventures and discover the real reason for coming to Gudauri.

We loved vagabond teams’ each member. Somehow we met most of the crew everypart of the mountain. They all gave us positive energy and support. First day we have arrived in tiblisi, we heard that the roads to mountain closed due to heavy snow. Therefore vagabond booked us the best hotel in tiblisi for one night to wait for the roads open tommorow. İt wasnt on the plan. But we were glad we had an time to discover the city also and stay one of the best designed hotel in tiblisi. I felt vagabond team is enjoying as much as we do on the mountains. Could not recommend Vagabond enough! From the beginning they were super responsive and easy to book with via Whatsapp, and I had a fantastic lesson with Sophie. Sophie was an excellent teacher - kind, patient and knowledgable. I really wanted to work on my confidence as a fairly new skiier and she really helped, teaching me with drills and some great memorable techniques. The next day I was able to ski down some new runs by myself (which would have been too scary for me before!) and all of my friends mentioned how much I had improved. Amazing ski school, booking a lesson was easy and the staff contacts you straight away with all the details. Before the lesson i was uncomfortable making turns on the snow and an hour later i was linking them together and having a great time. Instructor jay was great, very informative and concise and a great teacher overall. He was also very nice and is a native english speaker so you dont have to worry about a language barrier.

Had an absolutely brilliant time. The organisation by Taylor and his team was flawless, from the moment we touched down in Georgia to being dropped off at the airport again, and everything in between. The skiing lessons provided by Zane were great fun and I really felt my skiing go to the next level. The price was great and felt like real value. Will hopefully be back next year!

This is our second year coming back to snowboard ❄️ with Chris. My kids went from not knowing anything to being able to snowboard down the mountain on their own. He was very patient and personable. Taylor and the whole staff are pleasant to deal with and I definitely recommend them.

My 2nd time in 2 years to New Gudauri and with Vagabond Adventures. This year we had Dali as our ski instructor and Chris as our snow boarding instructor and as always the Vagabond instructors are outstanding and patient. Overall great instructors. I made a free ride /ski tour booking with Vagabound adventures . The reason I chose them was because I did not have a good experience during the phase of communications with the others . Vagabound adventures , the girl named Chiara advised me when to do my air and hotel booking , considering the snow conditions for offpiste/ free ride and some piste which I had signed for which was for me important since i was coming from india . The whole communication with her gave me assurance that they are professionals , they know the snow conditions very well for offpiste /free riding . They assigned Simone to be my trainer/guide for my three sessions . I never expected Simone to start communications in a professional manner right after I booked them. He adviced me which skis I should bring along since I have a couple of free riding skis , considering the snow conditions here at the moment. The moment I met him , it was magic , the reason being I didn’t expect a trainer to become my Freind and the way he encouraged me , I must say that no previous trainers of mine took care of me especially educating me about the avalanche areas and what should ne done Incase I face one . I’ll drink 3 beers to them, One awsome team !

Vagabond is by far the best option in Gudauri for any of your ski improvement or adventure needs. Taylor and the team are professional, have substantial experience, fun and able to help any level of skier. Our group of thirteen used them in a variety of ways. We had six kids under the age of seven split into two groups (two beginner and four intermediate) all of which came out of the week with great improvements in capabilities and confidence. We also had adults taking half day sessions to help critique and improve. And I did one backcountry excursion that took me into untouched snow and incredible scenery. Taylor is extremely safe conducted avalanche testing in key areas as we progressed. Their standards and professionalism is at a global level and likely the best in Georgia. A big thanks to Taylor and the team!

I have use Vagabond for the last 4 years both for myself and now for my daughter. Their instructors are great and their ability to accommodate your requests are second to none. I highly recommend Taylor and his team to anyone wanting to learn or to fine tune their skills for the more advanced skier.

My son George learnt to snowboard with Levi in January 2020, March 2022 and this past week Feb 2023. We cannot rate vagabond adventures highly enough. They are professional, knowledgable and incredibly warm and friendly. Levi is the only person in the world I trust to take my son down the harder slopes. My son loves snowboarding now and we will hopefully return to Gudauri every year!

Our second time in Gudauri with the excellent Vagabond ski school. We have only good things to say as their coaches are always amazing. We keep building a list of coaches we wish to see again over our next trip only to meet new ones that are added to the list. Louis and Chiara did an amazing job with our children. They had fun and learned a lot over the week, and most importantly we trusted them to be in good hands. Coaches are friendly, knowledgeable and speak English. We did a one day course with Vagabond Adventures in Gudauri - avalanche course and basic ski touring. We were a group of 6 - some of us for the first time on ski alps or splitboards. Eva and Šimon took a great care of us, answered all our questions and even help us with equipment rental. I hope this wasn’t our last well spent time with vagabond guys. It was real fun! Thanks.

We went skiing for a few days and needed instructors to brush up on my rusty skills and teach my daughter how to ski. We had a great time with Levi and Eva. Levi was very fun and patient in teaching Layla the joy of skiing and Eva was awesome too. Within a very short time she was able to refresh my knowledge and gave me a lot of confidence. We booked four group lessons with Vagabond, and despite the lack of snow, they were great. Levi, our instructor, was very flexible, always looking for the best snow for the group (literally driving the length and breadth of the mountain), adapting lesson times to wait for better conditions and coaching each individual in a different style, according to their needs. I would highly recommend Vagabond to anyone skiing in Georgia.

It is just the perfect company to enjoy an ski trip with. They organized us a whole week of skiing in Georgia combining catski, ski touring and resort skiing. They are a really nice team in fact we can consider them as friends now. Moreover, the ski guides are really conscious of the Mountain risks and they really minimize them to the minimum which was something that we were afraid of when we decided to go to Georgia. Finally but not least, they not only show you the mountains but also the culture and the history of Georgia which is something that is really important when you travel besides is an ski trip. Touring is a great way to see and experience the grandeur of Gudauri's natural environment and the possibilities.

The experience was super smooth and great, started off with inquiries via WhatsApp in which they replied quick. After booking they immediately sent me a confirmation and arranged me a guide. Communication was clear and easy. Eva was super great and had a great personality, she was helping us skii for the first time. Superb English speaker and overall wonderful vibe. Vagabond is a great place to start if you're on the fence hiring randoms.

One of, if not the best ski experiences I have ever had. Taylor and one of his guides Luka were incredible and took us to some unforgettable terrain. The snow was deep and fresh powder lines were to be had basically everywhere they took us. Even our final run back to where we were staying was epic. I’d highly recommend using Vagabond Adventures for your next trip to Georgia!!

Honestly this was the best experience we could have asked for. Besides that everything was just so easy and organized, Our instructor Kahti was incredible! He knew exactly how to guide us to get us where we needed to be! Loved every bit of it. The whole process was nice & seamless. My instructor was quite friendly and reassuring whenever I felt a bit scared. By the end of the first session I felt comfortable with the basics of skiing. Would come back for more lessons for sure! Highly recommend them.

Simply the best ski school in gudauri........my family and I have used vagabond ski school for the last 3 years and they have been faultless - the booking experience, through Taylor Ferguson (the owner) has always been super efficient and personal. The coaching experience for all of my family, with all of his English speaking highly qualified ski coaches, has been amazing every single time. My youngest started with them when she was 4 years old, having never skiied before, whilst I took some more advanced lessons this year so they cater for all levels which is great for us. I fell 100% secure leaving my daughters with their ski coaches for the day which is super important and allows my wife and I to relax and do our own skiing. All in all incredible - Gudauri is a great skiing location - if it wasn't for Taylor and his crew we'd probably try other locations......as long as they are still there we'll keep coming back for more 😀 - that is how good they are.....

From the first email Vagabond ski school Have been nothing but amazing. Following through with every request! We had a few different requirements for our group and they were very helpful and flexible with all our requirements. Communication given prior to arrival was second to none. Vagabond ski instructors are the best! Coming from all over the world and having various travel and adventure experiences they can give you advices not only about Georgia and skiing but also about any other places. They are all very competent, speak excellent English and make you feel safe on the slopes.

We spent one week in Gudauri this winter and we got classes for our 8 year old sons and for ourselves (ski and snowboard). Levi was our instructor and he couldn't have been better.....he's an excellent teacher and very good to children too... He's super experienced and very knowledgable of the slopes, the resort and the risks....we felt very safe and made a lot of progress. It's the only sky school with perfect English speaking teachers, which makes a big difference to communicate and they're the most skilled and trained.... Taylor was super responsive in whatsapp and super helpful with everything... Cannot recommend more...
