DISCOVER TBILISIS' LUSH LANDSCAPES ON ZEDAZENI RIDGE HIKE

Need an escape from the hustle and bustle of Tbilisi? This 6 hour hike takes you through some of the best nature Tbilisi has to offer. The trail ascends to the top of Mt. Saguramos, winding along the ridge through lush Oak and beech forests towards Zedazeni Monestary. Along the way you will encounter rare foliage local to the caucuses as well as centuries-old architecture and ruins. And as if that wasn’t enough, the journey back includes a visit to the Jvari Monastery overlooking the Picturesque city of Mtskheta – this hike has it all!

Get ready for a challenging and unforgettable journey through the scenic Saguramos Ridge on our Zedazeni Hike! This difficult 6-hour hike spans over 16 km, featuring a whopping elevation gain from 691m to 1427m. Starting from the outskirts of Tbilisi, the trail ascends towards the stunning ridge, offering breathtaking views of the city from the top. Despite its difficulty, this great hike is only a 22 km drive away from the city center, making it a convenient option for a quick escape from the city.

Journey through a beautiful forest, following the top of the ridge, and soak in panoramic views of Tbilisi from above. You’ll pass by the ruins of the castle “Tsilhe” and make your way to the magnificent Zedazeni Monastery. Take in the awe-inspiring views of the surrounding mountains as you explore the monastery grounds. On your way back to Tbilisi, you’ll stop at the Jvari Monastery and enjoy the stunning views of Mtskheta. This guided day tour promises an unforgettable adventure, with stunning natural scenery, and an invigorating physical challenge.
